Small Business Contracting Seminar to be held in Yazoo City

Jackson, Mississippi — October 3, 2017 — The Mississippi Development Authority’s Minority and Small Business Development Division will host a small business contracting seminar Tuesday, October 24 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

The seminar provides small businesses and contractors information on how to do business with federal, state and local governments, as well as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Information will also be provided regarding how contractors can become state-certified. The seminar will be held at the Public Service Commission Building, 210 S. Mound St., Yazoo City, Mississippi.

Speakers include: Latisha Handy, MSBDD; Joycie Lenoir, Mississippi Procurement Technical Assistance Program; Demetric Erwin, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and William Cantrell, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

There is no cost to attend; however, seating is limited.
