Mississippi Development Authority’s Entrepreneur Center Chosen as 2017 Delta Entrepreneurship Network Fellow

Jackson, Miss. (Jan. 24, 2017) – The Delta Regional Authority has chosen The Entrepreneur Center @ Mississippi Development Authority as a 2017 Delta Entrepreneurship Network (DEN) fellow.
“MDA values its partnership with the Delta Regional Authority. Being chosen as a DEN fellow will allow us to build upon our existing relationship as we work together to help the state’s entrepreneurs thrive and create career opportunities throughout the DRA region,” said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough, Jr.
MDA’s Entrepreneur Center will work with other entrepreneur support organizations throughout the Delta Regional Authority’s eight-state territory to provide resources and expertise to entrepreneurs to help develop them into successful drivers of the Delta’s economies. Additionally, DEN fellow organizations such as The Entrepreneur Center will participate in a special segment of New Orleans Entrepreneur Week 2017.
“We are honored to be selected as a DEN Fellow and work with other entrepreneur-centric organizations across the eight-state area,” said Joe Donovan, director of The Entrepreneur Center @ MDA. “To actively participate in weekend entrepreneur workshops in Jackson, Memphis and New Orleans Entrepreneur Week 2017 is an outstanding opportunity for The Entrepreneur Center to engage with the best of the best in entrepreneurship.”
Located in downtown Jackson, The Entrepreneur Center nurtures Mississippi’s entrepreneurial spirit by providing new and established entrepreneurs the knowledge and skills needed to build and sustain a successful small business. The Entrepreneur Center offers assistance in the areas of financial/loan assistance, marketing, seminars/webinars, retail management and more.
During fiscal year 2016, The Entrepreneur Center conducted approximately 1,500 client consultations and helped create 619 new jobs and generate more than $18 million in new investment.
