Free Model Contractor Development Program Spring workshop series kicks off June 4 in Columbus
Jackson, Mississippi — April 30, 2019 — Contractors interested in expanding their business are encouraged to enroll in the Mississippi Development Authority’s free Model Contractor Development Program.
The program kicks off at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, at Gregory Construction, located at 1447 Industrial Park Road in Columbus.
The eight-week workshop series covers relevant topics for businesses seeking to increase their operations and bonding capacity. Participants must enroll or already be enrolled in the Mississippi Contract Procurement Network system, mscpc.com, to take part in the program. Additionally, each company’s representative must agree to attend at least seven of the eight sessions to successfully complete the program and receive a certificate of completion.
The kick-off session will feature guest speaker Joanne Brooks, Esq., managing partner of JSSB Consulting, LLC and co-author of the MCDP’s framework. During the kick-off, she will discuss bonding as an empowerment tool that leads to controlled growth, job creation and legacy wealth.
The workshops will be held from 6-9 p.m. every Tuesday. The program schedule is as follows:
