MIST Cluster 2nd Qtr. Small Business Summit
The MIST Cluster will be holding its second quarterly Small Business Summit April 27th on the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park Campus in Long Beach, MS. This meeting is being held in conjunction with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s SBIR Road Tour which will offer an opportunity for participants to meet one-on-one with federal SBIR Program Managers to discuss funding and technical areas of interest offered by the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and related Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. These programs annually award out over $2.5 billion in contracts and grants to small businesses to undertake research and technical innovation development projects meeting a federal agency’s mission needs and that also have commercial potential. The SBIR Road Tour is being co-hosted with the EIGS Geospatial Cluster with additional support provided by Innovate Mississippi. Presentations and discussions on opportunities for working with various divisions of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will be another focus of the event.
