Applications Developer II
The Applications Developer II is responsible for applying knowledge and experience in application development and support to code, test, debug, document, implement, enhance, and maintain software applicatio
Accountant II
This is a time-limited position. The Accountant II provides financial support for the Community Incentives Division and performs accounting-related duties that require a working knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and state financial systems. This position is responsible for processing requests for cash, entering repayments, reconciling financial transactions associated with subrecipient expenditures, and reviewing revenue received from HUD.

Communications Manager
The Economic Development Specialist III will serve as the Communications Manager for Visit Mississippi at the Mississippi Development Authority. This position is responsible for executing communications efforts that tell Mississippi’s story to potential visitors, media audiences, industry partners, and stakeholders. The Communications Manager will support media relations, editorial communications, and public-facing messaging that enhances the Visit Mississippi brand and positions Mississippi as a premier travel destination.
Economic Development Specialist II
This is a Time-Limited position. The Economic Development Specialist II position will serve as Program Manager for State and Federal Grants in the Community Incentives Division. This position principal responsibilities include managing contracts, monitoring projects, processing requests for cash, reviewing expenditures and budget modifications, preparing reports, providing technical assistance, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations, state policies, and program guidelines.
Internship Program
Students may be referred by their college or university to intern with MDA, or our Human Resources Office may recruit students from local institutions.

What Will You Do?
As an MDA intern, you may:
- Assist with research and business recruitment projects
- Support workshops, trade shows, and public meetings
- Perform data entry, organize files, and communicate with constituents
- Contribute to real-time economic development initiatives
Who Can Apply?
- Students enrolled full-time in a degree program related to the internship
- Students with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- U.S. citizen or those authorized to work in the U.S.
