Rethinking the rules. Reworking the formula. Knocking down walls. Finding new paths.
The Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program provides assistance for the state's homeless population through grants to local units of government and non-profit organizations for operations/maintenance and essential services of existing emergency shelter and rapid re-housing assistance.
Examples of eligible projects include:
• Operation and maintenance expenses
• Re-Housing and Homeless Prevention
Assistance for the homeless is the goal of the Emergency Shelter Grants Program. Municipalities and counties, as well as non-profit organizations that operate homeless shelters, may apply for ESG grants. ESG funds must be matched by funds from other sources on a dollar per dollar basis.
All federally funded projects must meet federal audit requirements. For more information please select audits.
