e-Synchronist Partnership Mississippi

Nothing is more important to Mississippi’s economy than the businesses that operate here generating payroll, local spending, and taxes. The future of these individual companies will have a substantial impact on the growth of the State’s economy.

The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is committed to helping businesses and communities provide leadership on gaining a better understanding of the companies in their community portfolio. Working with community-based partners this program forms the basis of a true collaboration, benefiting Mississippi’s communities and businesses.

There is no global economy! There is no US economy! All economies are built on local economies. The fastest way to build a strong Mississippi economy is to build strong local economies!

The e-Synchronist Partnership System, a tool being used by the MDA, is causing excitement in economic development circles because it is the first comprehensive tool available to development professionals interested in a better understanding of the local economy and the role individual company’s play.

Deploying the e-Synchronist Business Information System® will allow Mississippi to put a substantive program in place quickly, asserting a leadership position on critical local issues.

This newest tool will be used by MDA’s Existing Industry and Business Division (EIB) to evaluate business retention and expansion within the State. The system was developed by Blane Canada, Ltd, a national leader in economic development marketing strategies and planning.

Using this web-based software program, various economic development groups across the state will be able to determine what factors will assist businesses in their communities to expand and create jobs as well as determining a company’s role in a community’s economic future. Based on the informational interview results from companies, the software reports whether a company is pleased, somewhat pleased or in need of special attention.

EIB has regional partnerships with Entergy, Mississippi Power Company and the Tennessee Valley Authority as well as our own Regional Services Division that will utilize and manage this economic development information system. Local communities will play a vital role in the success of the e-Synchronist partnerships.

The Synchronist Business Information System assess companies in key areas such as:

  • Company growth potential
  • Foreseeing companies at risk
  • Legislation affecting companies
  • Forecasting economic opportunities
  • Company value to community
